Scholarship awards are very exciting to receive after many years of hard work and dedication.  Keep in mind you must follow all the specified guidelines for each scholarship.  The Counseling Office has no additional information about many of the scholarships you apply for on-line. To find answers to questions about these scholarships, consult the specific scholarship website. Many scholarships require a transcript and/or recommendations. Be sure you request a transcript or letters of recommendations at least ten school days before it needs to be postmarked. Posted deadlines are the date by which materials must be postmarked, unless otherwise indicated below.

If you earn either a 3.0 GPA on the OR a 21 on the ACT, you will automatically be eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship, which can be used at any in-state school. You MUST complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid;; and create your FSA-ID at online beginning October 1st to ensure that you will receive the HOPE. If you do not file the FAFSA, you will not receive the HOPE regardless of eligibility.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

This scholarship is open to students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.  The award is $10,000 and renewable up to $40,000 total per recipient.  For information, eligibility requirements, and an online application:


Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship

Limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school.  Must have at least a 3.0 or “B” average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport.  Apply online at  Deadline is early October.
