School Meals Debt
Message from School Nutrition about school meals and balances: We’ve been made aware of fundraisers for meal debt conducted on behalf of the district but are not aware of any funds being given to the district or given to schools at this time. No student of MCPS is denied a meal regardless of funds or current balances. Donations for meals debt are welcome and can be accepted at MCPS schools; however, the district is not conducting fundraisers related to student balances. Policy 3.500 Food Service Management has more details about payments and charges. When there is a deficit balance, students will still receive meals. If you have questions, please contact School Nutrition at 931-388-8403, ext. 8135 or 8136.
